Rakhi Time!! :)

Well.....almost! :)

Rakshabandhan a.k.a Rakhi is just around the corner - Aug. 9th!!

In my family, rakhi usually means:

1. LOADS of work - buy gazillion rakhis, sort rakhis into sets for each of our brothers and our mom's brothers, put them in nice packs, address them, mail them. (Lot of them live in other parts of the world.)
2. Lists - we've to make lists for everything. Upto and including, pins to put up the decorations. :O
3. Delicious, delicious mithai - usually around 8 different kinds!! yay!! :D :D :D
4. New clothes!
5. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaand - a lot of presents (yay for being sisters!!) and lots of cash!! :D Nothing can really beat last year's net though!!

This year's rakhis: (haven't finished yet! :P)

I have heard of monetizing ones blog, but monetizing a festival is like woah! people must learn from you peeps. Cha! chennai people. No spirit in anything, everything you guys do is for marks or money or both. Sheesh get a life :p

BTW August 9th huh? Will try to keep myself free. When does college start? I heard August 4th???

@Hamsini:
Po savu, you not my sis :p

@sagaro:
poda loosu! aug 4th is fees payment!! :P

the spirit of rakhi is that bro gives sis
dher sara pyaar aur suraksha aur dher sare paise!! :P

and don't bother about aug 9th - college starts, then i vasool!! :D

dher sara pyaar I am already giving you. You are already suraksha, so there I dont have to don anythign about the second part. As far as paise is concerned, tell me how would u like it: in 5s, 10s, 25s. I dont think you get 5 paise these days... but still I will try to get a few.

@sagaro:

@S:
Well I am a Buddhist. So I guess I wouldnt celebrate Rakshabandhan. Of course you can tie me a 100000 bucks rakhi with diamonds and rubies studded on them, but I dont have to pay you a buck, cauze my religion doesnt say so:p

@gapp:
some people have no sense of family! bah!! :O

@sagaro

S said...

@sharique:

@Sharique:
Well my religion doesnt forbid me from accepting some colored ribbon and wearing it on my hand, just to make a few souls happy. There...

@Katheeja:
Never knew your bro touched your feet religiously once every year...

@Suraksha:
Not even in your dreams :P
