Let's All Strip - Underwear Spectacle
No. Seriously. Please don't go "Ewwwwwwwwww...."!!
I'm just back from a 20 day vacation - kodai, tirunelveli, kanyakumari, kuttralam et al. The whole South Indian Works.
Now, Kuttralam. All the while on the drive, I had this perfect vision of a thundering waterfall, cold and gushing onto the rocks. When I stepped out of the car and caught a glimpse of the main falls, to say I was deeply disappointed would be understating it. It was a thread, I repeat, a thread of water - gushing onto the rocks by no means. Trickling would be a more apt description.
Even as I was recovering from this cruel version of my perfect dream - I came. I saw. And kept seeing. Before me stretched a vast sea of people - men, women and kids - all in various stages of nakedness. NOT a pretty sight, I assure you. Especially when the men think it's alright to discuss World Cup favourites in their underwear. Soaking wet. And apparently relishing it. *puke*
And the women!! All I say is - "Yuuuuuucccccccckkkkkkkkkyyyyy!!!!!". It's too embarrassing to get into the details!!
It was as if everyone who came there just HAD to strip down to their barest, most minimal clothing and jump into that pile of human bodies in the water. *gets the jitters* And to make things worse - obviously enjoy every moment of it. Oblivious to other beings around. :O
The strange part is that no one else but me and my cousin found the sights even remotely disgusting. Perfectly natural, it seemed. Both of us had packed up stuff for kuttralam. But after this - we contented ourselves with eating maanga - fully clothed!!! - and splashing our legs in the water that flowed below. *sigh*

Whoa..you're kidding!There should be a dress code of sorts in these places.But I'd have never imagined.I mean, Kuttralam, a waterfall down South,gives a picture of ,er,conservative-ness..sheeeesh!!!
I dont see anything wrong with it either. Whats up with you girls,eh?
@hamsini:
anything BUT conservative!! and i'm not exaggerating!! :O
@velocity:
no one's talking about wrong or right. i'm just saying that it's disgusting. dunno abt you - but to me, looking at drenched men dressed only in their underwear IS repulsive. especially when we're not talking abt greek-god-body types!! :)
@S:
Salman Khan???
@sagaro:

"NOT a pretty sight, I assure you. Especially when the men think it's alright to discuss World Cup favourites in their underwear. Soaking wet. And apparently relishing it."

@anon:
*sigh* morons....
the thing abt kuttralam is - ppl dress and undress just about EVERYWHERE!! :O
so from where i was standing - i could see and hear atleast half a dozen groups of people talking!!
"I came. I saw. And kept seeing."
Slighta why keep seeing something that is causing you so much nausea?? :D
O and who btw is TR??
@Me:
"Why keep seeing what..." good point there. May be *that* was her first time and she kinda was curious on what lies beneath...:p
You dont know TR? *Shocked*. Imagine Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt, Tom Hanks, Orlando Blooms and just about any male who would turn you on all in one body. Oh forgot to add: also include in that list that comprises the body a chimp and a 'dandanaka'.
For live videos of TR, go to Youtube.com and search for TR. There are a dozen of them. And trust me you wont be wasting your time.
@S:
Ok if not TR, how about Vijayakanth?
@Nuke:
Euro Trip is one awesome movie...maan!

@Nuke:

Isnt S the person who is supposed to gloat :P
Hey Euro Trip isnt that bad. You are making it sound like one x rated film.
Ok yes I meant all that for TR. Thanx for those lines.
@S:

Wait a min, Arent you SR???

@dushy:
thanks very much!! :O
@EoD:
wat's there to confess?? it's a good film - great direction, great music. and i watched it. so there!
@S:
EoD has a point there. you were given a choice (unlike ludovic method)... but you chose to. No one forced you, pure will. You sudn't complain... :p
anon was me...
@sagaro:
where do you see me complaining?? :O
the kutralam
@sagaro:
oh thot u was talkin abt the movie!! and i did NOT have a choice at kuttralam - everywhere i turned, i saw semi-nude people and i couldn't really walk away farther coz i dinno the place and my atthai would freak!! :P
u had a choice why go to kutralam...
when people get to take a bath in the water, then they do not realize that their daughter has gone mad over some f@#$ing harry potter
@sagaro:
yes....but then i had this perfect idea of kuttralam!! so obviously i wanted to go!! anyway...CHUCK!! :O
@mark:
profound!!
Here's a vision, would you rather they be dressed in spandex?
Completely clothed, yet, erm... contoured(?). :D I get attacks of adolescene every once in a while.
Cheers
@kini:
now that's an idea - wouldn't prefer it in the absolute...but relatively, spandex is way better than nude!! :P
I do remember seeing dogs standing where the water flows err.. trickles from...
idhukku mela kutraalam keezha yaarukavadhu nikkanam thonum? :D
@harish:
thankfully no dogs this time!! :)
logically, yaarukkum thonadhu - if otherwise, open to interpretation!! :P
I went there when I was like 5 I think. Plenty of water then.
